Anfang Juli war die Ausstellung parat fürs Publikum.
Die Macher des Herzogenauracher Stadtmuseums zogen erleichtert Bilanz. Christian Hoyer, der Stellvertretende Leiter des Stadtarchivs und des Stadtmuseum, erzählte: „Anfang dieses Jahres ging es los, mit Volldampf im Grunde erst seit Ostern. Wenn man so will, ist das ein dem Thema angepasster sportlicher Zeitplan gewesen. Doch zum Glück zogen alle an einem Strang. Wir alle waren Feuer und Flamme.“

Wenn Käthe Dassler und ihre Schwester Marianne sich an die Geschehnisse 1933 und 1934 erinnerten, hatten sie den Schalk im Gesicht. Es sind gute Jahre gewesen, alles in allem. Zum Beispiel der Moment, in dem Käthe den jungen Adi Dassler zum ersten Mal traf.

"Hamburg soccer icon Uwe Seeler has passed away. He died at the age of 85 in the circle of his family in Hamburg. The honorary captain of the national team took part in four World Cups and was runner-up in England in 1966. He was one of Germany's most prominent and popular soccer players."

The locals have already stopped by to see it with their own eyes. They relocated their Sunday walks to stroll along the river Aurach, then crossed Hanns-Maier-Street, to reach "the Villa," or at least where it once stood. They gathered in amazement as they watched and took pictures with their cell phones. The headlines in the newspaper had forewarned, "Demolition of the Dassler Villa is imminent."
08. DECEMBER 2021 "THE GREYHOUND" – HOST ECKEL HAS DIED AT 89
He had been planning to celebrate the milestone. Horst Eckel was very much looking forward to his 90th birthday. He had undergone another operation this year without complaining, and then had taken up his "veteran training".
05. NOVEMBER 2021 "DIRT ON HIS SHOES" - UWE SEELER TURNS 85
Today, Uwe Seeler of Hamburg celebrates his 85th birthday. Reinhold Beckmann, a well-known TV star, soccer commentator, musician, and author, dedicated a touching TV tribute to Uwe. "Uwe Seeler - One of us" can be viewed in the NDR media center.

29. JULY 2021 BERND TRAUTMANN - THE HERO OF MANCHESTER
In the summer of 1956, a young man with a bandage on his head visited Adi Dassler in Herzogenaurach. Adi was thrilled; and promptly gave the tall, lanky man a tour of the adidas factory, followed by coffee and cake on the terrace with his family, after which the two men returned to the workshops.
25. JUNE 2021 THE OLD GAME - GERMANY STRUGGLES INTO THE NEXT ROUND AT THE EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS
On the night of June 23rd, 2021, a nearly full moon hung over Herzogenaurach. Adi Dassler gleamed in the ideal light; small shadows fell on his angular face, silver spots showed in his wavy hair, and the studs of the soccer shoe in his left hand shone.
29. APRIL 2021 THE RIGHT HAND OF THE "BOSS" - IN MEMORY OF HORST WIDMANN
Horst Widmann died in Nuremberg at the age of 80. Shortly before his death, he met with our author and spoke about Käthe and Adi Dassler. They talked on the phone afterward and arranged to meet again. "Adi and Käthe," Widmann said, "that's a big topic. There is still so much to tell.".

This week, a football shirt was auctioned on Ebay for EUR 250. It was a dark blue Adidias shirt from Argentina’s national football team who fought against Germany in the 1990 World Cup final in Italy. Germany wore Adidas and Argentina wore Adidas.
