14. APRIL 2017 FEATURE FILM: "THE DASSLERS - PIONEERS, BROTHERS AND RIVALS"
"Die Dasslers – Pioniere, Brüder und Rivalen", which translates as “The Dasslers – Pioneers, Brothers and Rivals”, is a co-production by Wiedemann & Berg Television and ARD Degeto, created for German television channel Das Erste. The film was produced by Quirin Berg and Max Wiedemann, while the role of executive producer was filled by Susanne Hildebrand. The project was financed by Bavarian funding body FilmFernsehFonds Bayern and Czech film fund Státní Fond Kinematografie. "Die Dasslers – Pioniere, Brüder und Rivalen" was first broadcast on German television in the spring of 2017.
The film was shot on location in Prague and Franconia (Bavaria) from 21 September 2015 to 5 December 2015. It premiered at the Munich Film Festival on 24 June 2016.
During the festival, producers Max Wiedemann and Quirin Berg and executive producer Susanne Hildebrand received an accolade for their work on the two-part feature film. They were awarded the Bernd Burgemeister Fernsehpreis, a television prize worth EUR 25,000 and sponsored by German collecting society Verwertungsgesellschaft der Film-und Fernsehproduzenten.

The "real" Dassler family were allowed to visit the film set to experience the filming on location. Daughter Sigrid was impressed by the authenticity of the two lead actors. After meeting “Rudi” alias German actor Hanno Koffler, Sigrid said: “I actually found it quite difficult to shake Rudi’s hand.”
